Cercle have reached an agreement with Warleson Steillon (26) on Friday to extended his stay with the Groen-Zwart. The Brazilian goalkeeper has signed a new contract until June 2026, with an option for an additional season.
Warleson signs with Cercle through 2026!
Warleson (1.90m) has been playing for Cercle Brugge since the beginning of 2020. In total, he has already played 18 matches for the Groen-Zwart, in which he has kept three clean sheets. Warleson, better known as 'pai' among the players, is known as a goalkeeper with strong reflexes who is also very popular among the players and supporters. The Brazilian is therefore very happy to stay longer with Cercle: “This is an important moment for me. It was no secret that I was open to a longer stay. Every day I've prayed for this moment. Together with my family I am very happy at Cercle. We are 100% convinced that this is the right and best possible decision for me”.

Sporting director Carlos Avina is also happy with this contract extension for 'pai': “We are very happy to be able to continue working with Warleson. In recent weeks he has proven his worth several times and he is important to Cercle. He really deserves this contract extension. We have tremendous confidence in Warleson. He is a top player who will help us achieve our goals.”
