Cercle Brugge has renwed the contract of Christiaan Ravych. The 20-year-old central defender, who was recently called up for the Belgian U-20 team, has signed a new contract until June 2025 with an option for an additional season.
Christiaan Ravych extends his contract with Cercle through 2025!
Christiaan Ravych (1.92m) has been playing for Cercle since the summer of 2021. This season he already played 12 times for the Groen-Zwart first team. In the team's home match against OH Leuven, Ravych stood out by scoring the winning goal in the final seconds of the match. The impressive development of Christiaan Ravych has now lead to a new contract. “Christiaan has quickly proven his worth for Cercle this season. I am very happy to extend his contract until 2025 with an option for an additional season," said sporting director Carlos Aviña. “His qualities represent our DNA. Christiaan therefore fits perfectly into our strategy to offer opportunities to young Belgian talents. A special mention also goes to all staff members within Cercle who have helped to accelerate Christiaan's development and maximize his talent.”

Ravych himself is also delighted: “I am very satisfied and happy that Cercle has shown great confidence in me”, said Christiaan in his first reaction. “It's a reward but now I just have to push further, help the team and focus on the next games against Ghent and Mechelen. An early Christmas present? Haha, I think so yes. It was certainly a dream of mine to get such a reward. We will just keep pushing and we are very hungry for the upcoming games”, finished the young central defender.
